Koru is a ground-floor holiday apartment in Ambleside, sitting right inside the Lake District National Park in Cumbria. This is a characterful one-bedroom apartment that sleeps two, making it ideal for couples or solo travellers. A multi-fuel wood burner creates a real focal point in the open-plan living area and tall period windows open onto a private balcony with rooftop views stretching towards Loughrigg Fell.

Ambleside puts you at the heart of the Lake District. Lake Windermere is just one mile away. Boat trips, water sports, fell walking on Loughrigg and Wansfell and lakeside paths at Rydal Water and Grasmere are all on your doorstep. The village has pubs, cafes, restaurants and independent shops within easy walking distance.

The apartment has one bedroom with a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower over. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and washer-dryer. There is also a dedicated drying room perfect after a day on the fells.

For Families

Koru sleeps just two guests and is designed for couples or solo travellers. It is not suited to families with children. That said, Ambleside and Lake Windermere offer boat trips, outdoor swimming and fell walks that older children would enjoy if you were visiting the area independently.

For Couples

Koru is built for two. A king-size bed, wood burner, candlelit dining area by the bay window and a private balcony with fell views make this a genuinely romantic base. Lake Windermere is one mile away. Grasmere is a 10-minute drive. Evenings in are as good as evenings out.
