Curlew Close Cottage is a stone-built cottage that was originally part of the coach house and stables of the Pullwood Bay Estate near Ambleside in the Lake District National Park. It sits within 51 acres of shared grounds and offers direct private lake access to Windermere half a mile of waterfront with a private jetty. No hot tub here but honestly the lake more than makes up for it.

The south-facing rear courtyard is great for al fresco dining. The shallow bay is safe for paddleboarding and paddling. Launching a dinghy or kayak from the private jetty needs prior arrangement. Hawkshead is 3. 5 miles away a car-free village with eateries and galleries.
