Stock Ghyll Force waterfall is also under a mile. Wansfell Pike is 1. 5 miles away with panoramic views at the top. An excellent bus service runs into Ambleside so you can skip the car entirely.

Stagshaw Gardens (National Trust) is 1.5 miles away. Hill Top Beatrix Potter's farmhouse is around 8 miles via Hawkshead. Rydal Mount is 2 miles away (5 minutes by car). Grasmere village is 4 miles north (10 minutes).
