Coppertrees is a mews-style cottage sitting on a hill above Ambleside in Cumbria. It sleeps four across two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Woodland and fell views greet you from almost every window. The semi-reverse-level layout puts the main living space upstairs where French doors open onto a deck perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks in summer.

Ambleside is less than 350 metres away on foot. Waterhead on Windermere is under a mile's walk where you can hire rowing boats, canoes, paddleboards or motorboats. Stock Ghyll Force waterfall is also under a mile. Wansfell Pike is 1. 5 miles away with panoramic views at the top. An excellent bus service runs into Ambleside so you can skip the car entirely.

Stagshaw Gardens (National Trust) is 1.5 miles away. Hill Top Beatrix Potter's farmhouse is around 8 miles via Hawkshead. Rydal Mount is 2 miles away (5 minutes by car). Grasmere village is 4 miles north (10 minutes).
