The Shambles is a Grade II-listed cottage sleeping four guests in the heart of Beadnell village, Northumberland. This beautiful property sits within the grounds of Beadnell Hall and combines period features like elegant sash windows and exposed stonework with contemporary furniture and stylish yellow accents.

Beadnell Bay offers golden sandy beaches and sheltered waters perfect for surfing, kayaking and paddleboarding. The Northumberland Coast Path runs through the village. Seahouses lies 3 miles away along a scenic clifftop route.

The cottage has two upstairs bedrooms: one double and one twin that converts to king-size on request. A ground floor shower room and separate upstairs WC serve the property. The main lounge features comfortable sofas arranged around a wood burner and Smart TV, plus a large dining table. A second lounge with sofa bed and Smart TV provides flexible space. The fully equipped kitchen includes a Nespresso coffee machine and dishwasher.

Bamburgh Castle stands 6.5 miles away (15 minutes). The Farne Islands boat trips depart from Seahouses. Alnwick Castle lies 16 miles south (30 minutes). Lindisfarne Castle sits 12 miles north (25 minutes).

A beautiful, comfortable and well equipped cottage in the heart of this lovely seaside village. We loved the giant sofas, comfy beds and the separate tv room. The weather was still warm enough in September to catch a few rays in the courtyard garden. Plenty of amenities with the shop, cafe and pub and lots of places to visit within a short drive.

This is the second time we have stayed here so obviously we enjoyed our first visit. The accommodation is comfortable and well laid out and we particularly enjoyed having the TV room, the weather was mixed so we were able to heat the small space and feel cosy. We appreciated the welcome pack and the flowers were a nice touch. As we were only a couple we had the single beds made into a double - well worth it as they are very comfy and I prefer that bedroom.

The cottage is in a prime location with the local pubs, cafe, shop and beach all within a 5 - 10 minute stroll. We are already planning our next stay at the property!
