A big thank you to you both for a lovely week in your beautiful accommodation. Your attention to detail is easily seen, which made our stay home from home. The bed is extremely comfortable which is always important for us. Warkworth is a pretty village, with plenty of excellent restaurants and pubs, plus free parking. It was so good to have milk, cereal, bread and lots more in the kitchen when we arrived which meant it wasnt necessary to go to a shop straight a waythank you Tracey and Russell. We very much look forward to coming again. Wishing you both all the best.

This is a great cottage in an excellent location. The house was really clean when we arrived and we felt at home straight away. We had everything we needed and more, including a lovely welcome hamper with wine, butter, bread, cereals, milk and more. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and the shower in the bathroom is amazing. The beds are very comfy too. There is a lovely outdoor area which was perfect when the sun was out. The parking is easy, a minutes walk away and we managed to get a space everytime we needed one. The owners were really easy to contact and always replied straight away. They were also really lovely and friendly when we saw them. Warkworth is a lovely village and it's only a 10 minute walk to the the beach from the house. There's plenty of places to eat within a 3 minute walk. Further away we loved Druridge Bay and had a great drive across to the Holy Island. We had an amazing meal at Sonnet Restaurant in Alnwick, if you're looking for somewhere for a special occasion. We would definitely stay at St. Lawrence Rest again.

This is a lovely property in the pretty village of Warkworth. It is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for your stay. It's right next to the river and a short walk to a gorgeous sandy beach or Warkworth Castle. An easy drive gets you to fantastic days out at places like Dunstanburgh and Alnwick Castles or National Trust property Cragside. I would recommend St Lawrence Rest.

Delightful cottage in a prime position in Warkworth village. The cottage is very tastefully decorated, with lovely furnishings. Very well equipped and lots of lovely extras. The owners have gone above and beyond to include everyday essentials like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing products, cling film, kitchen roll. Having stayed in lots of holiday accommodation these are not always included. The welcome hamper was also very generous, stocked with M&S goodies and was greatly appreciated. Outside there is a lovely cottage garden to sit in and enjoy. Warkworth is a great base to explore. Northumberland and had some superb pubs and eateries. Would thoroughly recommend the Warkworth hotel for a meal and Bertrams. Overall a fantastic holiday and we cannot wait to return to St Lawrence terrace cottage.

We had a very enjoyable weeks holiday. Cottage is warm, very comfortable and well equipped. One minor criticism is the lack of a Cafetire for Coffee junkies like ourselves. Would happily book again.

2nd year running staying at this beautiful property. We again had no problems with parking on the square. The property is so welcoming , cosy and comfortable. A kind goodie pack to welcome us which is so appreciated. Central for Warkworth places of interest and also The Masons Arms across the square!!! We did have trouble with the tv pixelating and going blank or no sound but my clever hubby eventually sorted it. Might have been the beautiful weather! Lovely shower and everywhere so clean. Thankyou Russell and Tracey we had the best week!!

The property was lovely and well equipped. The owners were friendly and helpful. They also left a nice welcome pack.

Very comfortable. The location worked very well for us to cycle along the National Cycle Route 1 and the bike storage in the garage was perfect

Beautiful, comfortable, cosy cottage. Church clock really not an issue. Lovely village. Breakfast and evening sunshine in the courtyard garden. Highly recommended.

We really appreciated the welcome pack that we used throughout our stay. We found the property clean, fragrant and very well situated in regards to eating out and parking the car. We would recommend this property to anyone wishing to visit fascinating Northumberland.

The cottage is stunning and the best I have ever stopped in. Everything oozes quality and a welcome hamper was there on day one which is a very nice touch.Everything you could need and more.Such a lovely garden to sit in when the weather is nice to ponder and have coffee.The hosts were very approachable and friendly and have a real gem.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property as its all the level which is a real bonus for those who may not be able to do stairs.We will be back.

We had a most enjoyable stay at St Lawrence Rest. It is well equipped and ideally located in the centre of Warkworth with pubs, restaurants, cafes and the beach within easy walk, not to mention Warkworth Castle at the top of the hill. Free parking is available close by.

A perfect location in the attractive village of Warkworth, with local walks, beaches, sand dunes and nature reserves within easy reach. Cycles can be left securely in the private back garden with Warkworth providing a great base camp for cycling the national cycle network route 1, much of which is off road by the coast, or on quiet country lanes. This stylish cottage, in the heart of the village by the church and a few steps from the river, is very well equipped and comfortable to live in. The owners are welcoming and go the extra mile to provide all home comforts and welcome treats to help you settle in. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Beautiful cottage full of everything you could possibly want or need for your stay. Some lovely personal touches make a comfy, cosy and beautiful location feel. Like home. Would return and recommend without hesitation.

The holiday home was exceptional from first entering the property greeted by soft lighting and music along with an essential food supply to having all the comforts of being in one's own home. The decor is inspirational and in a prime position of the village.

The moment we opened the door at St. Lawrence Rest we knew we had found a special place. The cottage is beautifully appointed, with so many personal touches and absolutely everything you could possibly need. There were welcome gifts in the kitchen, fresh cut flowers and our hosts couldn't have been more helpful. At the rear of the cottage a stunning private courtyard, filled with flowers, made our stay extra special. If you get the chance to stay in this fabulous cottage in the lovely village of Warkworth you should grab it!

Probably the best holiday cottage we have used over the last 10 years. Very well appointed, comfortable and quiet.

We had a great week at St Lawrence Rest. The cottage was beautiful and exactly as described and the owners couldnt have been friendlier or more welcoming. Warkworth is a very pretty town and a great base for exploring the area. We arrived to find an excellent welcome pack of goodies and supplies.

We have had a wonderful week in this gorgeous cottage. Everything has been thought of, with lovely touches everywhere. The furniture is comfortable as are the beds, the shower is fabulous and the kitchen wellequipped. The second bedroom is small, but well thought out, with a chest of drawers and hanging rail. Netflix and reliable WiFi too. Dont be put off by the thought of the church bells, although audible they did not disturb at all. The village of Warkworth is lovely and we will certainly return, hopefully to St Lawrence Rest.

We had a wonderful week away in this cottage, our last holiday before our little girl arrives. The cottage is very well equipped for everything you need and the owners left lots of little touches which were very welcoming. It was very clean and well maintained and we will definitely be recommending to family and hope to come back again in the future. Thank you for a lovely week away

Second visit to this property as we so enjoyed the first. Perfect in every way, ideally situated opposite the church. Parking is in the square on a first come basis. Close to the river for leisurely walks and nearby Amble, Alnmouth, and Alnwick not far away and well worth visiting. There is a bus service from the village if you dont want to drive. Amble is in walking distance. The owners go above and beyond in making this cottage so welcoming from the beautiful furnishings to all the delicious goodies and wine. Everything you could possibly need and more. Warkworth is a lovely village in view of the castle with several pubs, shops and a small grocery shoppost office. Would certainly recommend in every way.

Excellent owners who go over and above expectations. Previous renter had apparently commented about a mattress and I was asked my opinion, replying I felt it was perhaps time to think about replacing it. Fifteen minutes later I was told one had been ordered for delivery the following day. Obviously they only make the bed so wouldnt have realised there was a problem. All the thoughtful little extras they supply too are appreciated and the rear courtyard has been renovated to a very high standard since we were there last year. We shall be back

We have stayed in many holiday cottages in Northumberland, mostly in Walkworth and the surrounding area. This was by far the best cottage we've ever stayed in. It was clean, beautifully furnished, well equipped and had a very comfortable bed. I can usually find something to complain about, but i can honestly say, this time I couldn't!. We will be back! We have to come back anyway because I forgot to leave the parking disk that the owners had kindly provided.

Beautiful property in an ideal location opposite the church. The owners have gone the extra mile to provide everything you need and more including fresh bread, cereals, butter, milk, juice etc and a bottle of wine on arrival. The cottage is clean, comfortable and very tastefully decorated. Lots of books about the area and fiction to read. TV has prime, Netflix etc. Parking outside in the main square is on a first come first served basis but we always managed to find a space. The castle is a short walk up the hill well worth a visit and Walkworth surrounded by the river offering lovely walks. There is an excellent bus service to the local towns such as Alnwick or Alnworth and further afield you dont want to use the car. The village shop and post office were useful for food shopping and theres a good choice of pubs when they open and other lovely shops. N Trust properties Crag Side and Wallington are an easy drive away and well worth a visit. Will definitely return to Warkworth and this property again.

Firstly the cottage was immaculate and very clean, so important in the days of Covid. The decor is beautiful, very stylish and in keeping with the location. Good quality linens and furnishings. Lovely touch of wine and breakfast items waiting for us, thank you. The courtyard at the rear is a complete sun trap and a great place to enjoy a glass of wine. The town is very pretty and having the river a few hundred yards away with plenty of seats was a real bonus. Lots of places to visit and the countryside is stunning. The owners, Russell and Tracey, are very friendly and it was a pleasure to stay in their home. The church bells were really only noticeable if you are awake during the night, they didnt wake us up. If awake, the owls hooting was a welcome sound. We highly recommend this property and would hope to return one day.

Cottage was wonderfully decorated, cosy and very comfortable. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. Lovely views across to the church and a great base to explore beautiful Warkworth and wider Northumberland. We are coming back again next year.

St Lawrence Rest is one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. The accommodation is warm, spacious, well laid out and well decorated, and the facilities and attention to detail are excellent. The wine and biscuits on arrival were very much appreciated thanks, Russell and Tracey! The location is very central to the town, with three good restaurantpubs and the village shop very close by. The village is very quiet at night, and we found the chiming of the church clock quite appealing, and it did not disturb our sleep at all. There is a free car park very close to the cottage which was quite busy although we managed to park there most days, and further parking by the river, which is very close. There are pleasant walks along the river and down to the beach, and we enjoyed Warkworth Castle, and the nearby town of Alnwick, including the Garden and Castle.

A beautiful cottage in a fabulous, central location. Very comfortable and well equipped. However I would not recommend nor stay again purely due to the noise coming from the upstairs household. There is a young family and the little boy likes to run up and down the length of the upstairs property 50 times a day. It is impossible to ignore and very loud. It disturbed us when trying to put my young son to bed and also began first thing in the morning so often woke us up. Not what you want when you have gone on holiday to relax. It is such a shame as everything else was fabulous and I will definitely return to Warkworth.

Wonderful cottage, really well appointed and cosy,they've thought of everything you could need,wonderful location, gorgeous area to stay in. Great communication from the owners.No bath in the property but we brought along a mini paddling pool which worked a treat as a baby bath in the big shower area.The local people are so friendly and welcoming and we have had the best cakes we've ever tasted in every tea shopcafe we've visited.Beautiful beaches within easy reach of the cottage.Missing Northumberland already!
