Beautiful house, very comfortable and well appointed. Very clean and well maintained. Suited our multigenerational stay very well. A great location for exploring the Dorset coast.

Sea Gem was an absolute gem, it was very comfortable and clean, we loved the coziness of the place. Portland holds a special place in our hearts and always will, and now so does Sea Gem, there was a small niggle and that was the pressure of the shower in the master bedrooms ensuite the water wasnt very strong neither was the bedrooms one next door and i love a shower at the end of the day it is something I look forward to, but wasnt able to experience that here, also the doors in the front room that lead outside, at night there is no privacy from the roadside luckily I had a big blanket that I could put up to make it feel more private, other than that everything else was beautiful, I would definitely stay here again if the shower was more powerful.Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home.

Fantastic house which does have everything needed. The rooms are very spacious and the house was immaculate on arrival. It is a really good base for exploring with nearby bus stops with buses into Weymouth and to Portland Bill as well as the south west coast paths not far away. Portland Bill is a must see with the lobster pot caf providing great food and drink. Plenty to explore nearby with beautiful coastal walks, the marina, portland castle, the quarry and the view from the heights hotel. The cove pub is great but you will need to book in advance if you want to eat there. The beehive bakery and the riptide also provide good food.

Wonderful house. Everything you could possibly need is provided including lots of games for the not so sunny days. Spotless when we arrived and definately had the 'wow' factor. Loved it!
Sea Gem is definitely our home from home. It is a beautifully furnished, tastefully decorated, well equipped house, which has been spotlessly clean every time we have stayed 3 holidays. The location is perfect for us, as everything is within walking distance beaches, marina, pubs, cafes, restaurants, supermarket, shops, castle, park, skateboard park etc. We had a truly relaxing holiday thank you. We are already making plans to return again.

I have stayed in many holiday rentals around the world and this has to rate in the top three only surpassed by ones with a better view. The house was spotlessly clean, smelt beautiful with many diffusers around a first for me and a lovely touch, was roomy and had everything we needed especially a downstairs bedroom for my 96 year old mum with the kitchen next door for her early morning cuppa.. Good parking and in a great position on the island to view the many attractions. I can highly recommend this property and would stay again if holidaying in the area.

Sea Gem has been a convenient and very comfortable stay for us. The photos did it justice and the facilities were excellent. One slight down was the lack of storage in the kitchen, but the biggest negative was the lack of curtains or black out blinds for the bedrooms. In addition to the street lighting, it stays light late and gets light very early in May and the Venetian blinds, although were excellent for privacy, were hopeless for darking out the bedrooms. I was fine, but my Mum and sisters also struggled with the road noise behind the house they are just not used to having a through road near their homes.
This is a lovely house close to the marina, the castle and the DD Centre on Portland. The house is well furnished with some nice touches and the patio was a good place to sit in the afternoon. The kitchen was well stocked although some storage space for our food would have been welcome. There was parking for 2 cars and an easy drive to Weymouth and a good place from which to explore Portland.

Sea Gem is a very well equipped cottage, it was spotless when we arrived with lots of home comforts.
We couldn't have asked for nicer place to call home for a week. A fantastic house that is furnished to a high standard and has everything you need. The location is great as place to plan and start your adventures from, whether its exploring the island and Chesil Beach or the wider Jurassic Coast. We have made lots of happy memories and plan on staying again.

The property was exactly as described. Excellent location. Very well equipped for a family stay. Decor was a very high standard. Lovely garden terrace to relax in when you get back from a day of exploring the area. Thoroughly recommend this listing.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is lovely and was spotlessly clean. The decor and furnishing are all really nice and we especially liked the outdoor area. Great location and the harbour and supermarkets are all within walking distance. Locals are all really friendly too. Would recommend booking if eating out and had a lovely meal at The Cove House Inn. Weymouth is also a short drive away and lots of good restaurants and bars around there. Visited lots of places that are all within easy reach of the property by car Portland Bill, Durdle Door, Monkey World, Sea Life and Sandworld. Would highly recommend and thank you for all the little touches in the property that made our stay enjoyable.
A perfect getaway in a fantastic location. The house is gorgeous, with literally everything we needed for a selfcatering escape. Loads to do locally and 2 minute walk to the beachharbour. So much to explore that we'll definitely be back.
