We have had a lovely stay. The apartment was perfect for our base whilst we were exploring the area. We will definitely return if we come back to the North East.
Location is excellent. The food in the bar was fantastic. Best steak we have had for a long time. They were able to provide gluten free options. We stayed in an apartment within the hotel and had lovely views. The accommodation had everything we needed for our stay. The only negative feedback is the bed was not comfortable for us as we prefer a firm mattress.
The apartment exceeded our expectations. It was really light, spacious, clean and warm. Ample parking on site and easy check in.The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although the apartment was self catering it was nice to be able to have breakfast and other meals downstairs in the hotel. The supermarket was only a mile away and there are plenty of restauramts in the village.Would highly recommend a stay here.

After reading some of the reviews I was worried that the apartment would be awful but actually it really was ok. Yes, its a little tired but it is an old building. The main bed, although very low for anyone who struggles to get up, was comfortable as were the sofas. The bathroom is tiny but adequate and the water pressure for the shower is good. The kitchen is probably the area that could do with a facelift the most and the cutlery and crockery is just a mishmash of bits and pieces. But it was quiet, warm and comfortable so I was relieved!
A well positioned property situated in the upper floor of a hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly, no problems with access and parking. Being close to Warkworth castle was an excellent bonus. The facilities within the flat were basically fine but there should been more cutlery and a sharp knife. A more reliable spread of TV channels would have been appreciated.
Though comfortable enough for a short stay the apartment is rough round edges . Kitchen needs appliances replacing. Wi fi connection is poor and TV
Perfect apartment in a perfect location.

This apartment was perfect for 2 4 guests and a well behaved dog. It was well equipped and comfortable and in a lovely location. Parking was easy and key collection straightforward due to the apartment being situated within The Sun Hotel. The location was also superb, being just over the road from Warkworth Castle, a short walk from the river and all the amenities of Warkworth itself. Perfect too for accessing Amble and other coastal destinations which were either a pleasant walk, or short drive away. We were able to eat and drink at the attached pub, which was also a plus for us. We would love to come back to this property to explore more of the area.
The apartment was very spacious and adequately equipped. Some areas that require attention oven needs cleaning and oven knob replacing, hot tap in the bathroom permanently dripping and quite a lot of cobwebs in the bedrooms.

Nice apartment for a short break. Lovely and warm and very comfortable. Could do with a coat stand or some hooks on the back of the doors to hang up wet coats. Plenty hot water, good shower. Kitchen did the job but need some oven trays as there were none. Basic, but warm, clean and comfortable would stay again. Ideal location for exploring Warkworth and surrounding area.
We were very happy with the apartment, the views were lovely. The only problem we had was trying to adjust the heating ,it was very warm inside and the radiator thermostats were broken. The staff were friendly and helpful and down stairs in pub were a good selection of ales and meals, breakfast is also to be recommended. Warkworth itself is a lovely location with good restaurants and bus links. If walking is your thing, then there are plenty of places to go to. If interested in bird watching you can see from the window when the tide is low and only a few minutes walk away from viewing wading birds ,and, by the weir, a kingfisher. All in all,we thought the apartment was very good value.

This apartment is ok fora weekend but would not recommend for a weeks stay for the following reasons. 1 The bedroom has no wardrobes and very limited draw space so nowhere to put shirts trousers pullover etc. 2 not enough cutlery or crockery. 3 poorly maintained as we were unable to turn radiators either down or off as the thermostatic valves were broken. 4 lounge furniture needs replacing.. 5 intermittent tv reception as WiFi kept dropping out. We paid the same price for one of your Sykes cottages at Seahouses last year that was of a much higher standard with no complaints at all.

We had a great time our first time up Northumberland lovely place and people ... We had a great time our first time up Northumberland lovely place and people apartment was clean comfortable and very cosy the tap on the bath does drip but it never bothered us we had a lovely time and will book again shower nice and hot and lovely views
Spacious apartment with comfortable living area. The bedrooms were clean with ample towels although the twin room lacked storage space. Bath & shower excellent with constant hot water. The kitchen could have been better equipped but adequate for a short stay. The staff were helpful & friendly & the location is superb.
What a great, central location. I have read the other feedbacks on this accommodation and yes, there is a bidet in the bathroom odd but true! and the tap still gently runs more concerned about the water bill than anything else but the accommodation is brilliant. Never had so much room to live and move in, very clean and such a comfortable, huge bed! Shower was amazing, powerful and hot bath sides are high, so take care not to bump into the bidet on exit! kitchen was equipped with enough to get us through breakfast everyday and evening meals with a great, large fridgefreezer, cooker and microwave. Furniture was comfortable and TV was huge! We loved the place, the staff were lovely and helpful, pub downstairs was great and we are planning a return visit and have recommended it to friends and colleagues who are planning a visit to the area. PS. Our dog loved it too! Go visit nearby Amble for 4 x doggie charity shops!
Decor was tired and bath still dripping. This was commented on by previous visitors in March. On positive side staff were friendly and helpful. Acommodation was spacious, beds were comfortable, towels were lovely fluffy and soft. Well situated for touring round the region.
Main problem was very poor Internet access strength of signal which h affected access to tv apps eg iplayer, amazon prime. Oven needed cleaning. Minimal utensils etc in kitchen.

We had a very comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, in particular Mark and the lady who owns a cockapoo. The side of the bath is quite high and might be a problem if you have mobility issues and the dripping tap needs fixing. We love Warkworth and the surrounding area and we are likely to book here again.

Great location. Very quiet. Plenty of parking. The kitchen needs new crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. Dustpan no brush? Great value for money if you compare it with other properties in the same location.

Perfect for doggy people pity about the WiFi and telly having said that would probably stay there again

Apart from the lack of internet can recommend this apartment. The staff in the hotel and bar were great as was the food and service. It couldnt be situated in a better place for walking and exploring

The apartment is well placed for exploring beautiful Northumberland. The staff are friendly and did try to rectify the issues that we had. On arrival we were shown the QR code to scan for the guest WiFi, but we weren't told that it only works in the kitchen part of the apartment due to very weak signal. There was also an issue with the ariel so TV constantly going off then the booster box went off completely by Wednesday. They did try to fix it but ended up giving us the hotel WiFi to access iPlayer so that we could watch news and weather. The views from the apartment are amazing and the furniture is comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom let it down though and could do with an update no need for the bidet, would be better with towel rail and shelf. There is plenty of parking on site.
Positives were comfy beds, good quality sheets. Nice thick towels, shower gel and shampoo, teacoffeemilk Negatives were cobwebs in every room, bath was very deep and access to the shower difficult to get into as it was high. Poor quality TV, old gas cooker and washer. No fire blanket in kitchen. No grill pan. No non stick frying pan. Crockery was odd plates and limited in number. No independent heating control and we had to ask reception numerous times for central heating to be put on
I have contacted the owner with regard to the issues I had whilst staying at Coquet View Apartment, but have not had a reply. On the plus side, the location and views are stunning. Due to the clear skies on some nights of our stay, the planets and stars were clearly visible.
The apartment was generally clean and tidy but a little worn in some areas. More equipment in the kitchen would have been helpful. The pub downstairs was friendly and the food was good.

Leak in the kitchen when it rains that when we reported to reception we were told to put a pan on the floor to catch the drips. It was clearly not the first time it has leaked as there is lots of water damage on the walls and the floor in the kitchen as the floor covering was all broken and moved each time you walked in it. Also we had to try and leave the kitchen windows open as much as we could as there was a terrible old greece smell. Definitely not a 4 star property But the location was great.
A nice clean spacious apartment which needs some TLC some windows do not lock , kitchen cupboard side under sink fallen off , bathroom sink is loose off wall ,oven ignitor does not work , no remote for electric fire also required is a set of drawers in each bedroom , a shelf for the bathroom , my wife struggled to get into the bath for a shower as it is high up and your advert should mention there are 30 steps to get to this second floor apartment . Apart from this we enjoyed our week in Warkworth but would not go back to this apartment
The bedrooms were nice and big but there were no cupboards to hang up your clothes. There were just some free standing hangers and boxes. There was plenty of room for cupboards if they could be provided. That was the only thing that I could find fault with. Everything else was very good.
The kitchen was sparsely equipped as we did self cater during our stay. Also the bathroom fan didn't work and there was a slow leak under the kitchen sink, both of which we reported. The rooms were comfortable and airy and the views spectacular across the river to Amble. Fantastic location for the river and beach, local bus route also really good for linear walks.
Wonderful setting and excellent accommodation. The staff were extremely friendly and the pub served food that could be taken up to the apartment. The whole place was very covidaware and we felt very safe. Our only minor criticism would be that wifi was only partially available in the apartment this might be an issue with people who were more intent on using the internet and streaming than we were. Why stare at a screen when there are so many beautiful walks and beaches nearby!
If 4 people are planning to stay in this apartment they should be made aware that the bathroom door is quite flimsy and doesn't allow a great deal of privacy. Apart from this, the apartment is comfortable and extremely good value.

Beautiful clean apartment over a lovely pub in a lovely little village. Would definitely stay there again. Just one little thing I would like to bring to attention is that it is a dog friendly accommodation and there was no bins around the grounds at all to put any dog waste in. Please put some bins around! Apart from that lovely week had by all.
The setting was amazing, could not believe it when we arrived. Very spacious too, more than expected from the photos. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great holiday.
No grill pan washer not working and was very dirty so would not have used it ... No grill pan washer not working and was very dirty so would not have used it noinfo leaflets of where to visit staff in the hotel were very helpful and nice and water was boiling and therefore would susgest a warning sign espcially if children godefinetly will go back as my comments are observations
Staff very friendly and helpful. Apartment as described, comfortable and spacious but kitchen could do with more equipment especially a grill pan for the grill. The WiFi was virtually non existent although one floor down a full signal was obtainable, no good if you are trying to watch Netflix or iPlayer in the smart tv ! Also the apartment is partly above the kitchens and partly above the conservatory, unfortunately for us there was a function on during our first night and the noise went on until 1130pm

There are a few things that would make a stay in Coquet View more comfortable, all of which are currently missing Coathooks Chest of drawers in the bedrooms Towel rails We also mentioned to hotel reception that the righthand window in the kitchen still doesn't close properly and needs sanding. Warkworth is a great place to base a holiday in the north east and Coquet View is ideal for selfcatering accommodation in the town.
Christine
The apartment was overrun with woodlice. Bathroom doors broken and would not shut. Kitchen window wouldn't shut at all so the rain came in. The staff were unfriendly and it was very clear that we were not welcome. On the plus the views were superb
Good apartment in a fantastic location.
