Great location in the middle of Amble, so everything was a convenient walk. Only short drives to the lovely village of Warkworth and the fantastic beach at Druridge Bay Country Park. House is a small terrace adjoining a delicious fish and chip shop. Very little provided in the house in regards to cleaning equipment or basics, no washing up liquid or cleaning spray, cooking oil, salt and pepper, etc. Be prepared to purchase your own Reply from holidaycottages.co.uk: We are sorry that the washing up liquid and cleaning spray was unavailable, these are now provided. The cottage always has washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and cleaning spray with clean cloths, however on this occasion they were missed. It was our oversight, thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Great for us with our dog. A mere 200ft from two excellent dog friendly Gastro pubs and 2 takeaways. Handy for the links and dog friendly beaches which are just South of the littleshore beach which us dog prohibited in Summer months. Very happy with our day.

No welcome pack tea or coffee salt and pepper. Drain on shower tray needs clearing. No general waste bin recycling, bin full of street waste. Back garden not fit for animals never mind kids empty bottles and rubbish. Reply from Holidaycottages.co.uk We are sorry you encountered the issues at the property the issues have now been rectified.

The cottage is situated in a lovely location amenities were very good ideal area to stay for travelling around Northumberland.
Nancy
A well-located and neat little cottage, so convenient for the harbour, eating places, buying fresh fish, and a warm retreat after all those bracing walks along the coast!
Jennifer
Well placed terraced home with lovely big kitchen. Ideal for small families or couples.
Jonathan
Lovely accommodation, brilliant location so near working port, small beach and decent pub, great chippy and fantastic Chinese!
Roger
First class accommodation, well decorated with a modern feel. Very well equipped, the shower was the best I've ever used. Ideal location as a base to explore Amble and the surrounding areas. Parking outside the property was easy. If we return to Amble again we would definitely try and re book this cottage.

As above all in all house great other than shower drain blocked

We had a wonderful week in a beautiful cottage. Great location and excellent base for days out all within a 30 minute drive or walk. Property just needs a few little basic things to make it the perfect holiday stay.
Kat
Ideal base for visiting all over. Parking is a bit hit and miss. Very nice cottage
Eileen
Lovely comfortable cottage, spotlessly clean on arrival and close to the harbour, bars, and restaurants.

The property looks like it was recently renovated and much of it seemed fairly new and was quite comfortable. It is well situated for the harbour and local restaurants, all within walking distance. The property is not very private from the road or in the concreted backyard, so you might want to keep the blinds closed. We always found parking available on the road by the house. Amble was a good base for visiting Northumberland. One of my favourite trips was our day in Craster, from where we walked to Dunstanburgh castle and then beyond to a beautiful beach.

This cottage is ideally situated for exploring surrounding countryside. 5 minute walk to harbour and 10 minute walk to various shops and many varied restaurants to suit all tastes. Next door to fish and chip shop which was very popular. Fully equipped, including bowls and cutlery for children. Plenty of castles, nature reserves and beaches near by, all within a short drive.

Lovely property. Next to a great fish and chip shop. It can get busy for parking but you can usually get a space outside the property to park. Great downstairs space. Plenty of room for small to medium dogs to stay. Outdoor enclosed space is also ideal and gets a lot of sunshine during the day and evening. It has a relatively new gate that makes it secure. Perfect distance to walk down to the pier and harbour area - a fab walk round the bay with the dog at all hours. Dogs not allowed on the beach between May and September due to lots of families and itâ??s a small bay. We were first timers to Amble and this was a perfect property to stay at and experience Amble. If available we will be booking again.
Susan
The holiday let was very comfortably furnished with pleasant decor and its central to the harbour area and shops.
Micheal
The cottage is very comfortable, close to everything essential, and a delightful place to stay. We had a very enjoyable stay.
Jackie
The cottage had everything we needed. Plenty of hot water, heating we could adjust and clean bedding and towels. As seems to be a regular thing these days, no welcome pack was supplied. No private parking, but we always got parked outside. Unfortunately, we didn't find the cottage very private. The front window looks onto the fairly busy footpath. The backyard has no privacy at all from neighbours or the path path running along the back. No attempt has been made to make it a pleasant area to sit in. If the wind is blowing in the wrong direction, the proximity of the chip shop becomes all too obvious. Amble, apart from the harbour front, doesn't lend itself to a holiday destination, but the surrounding area does have some fabulous beaches and areas of real beauty. This cottage, as a base for this area is great but lack of nice outside space, makes it a compromise.

We have stayed in holiday cottages for the last 40 years this is the first time there was no welcome pack. Not even the most basic things like salt and pepper. Having said that it was very comfortable and furnished to a high standard.
