Long Meg and Her Daughters stone circle is reachable via a walking loop along the River Eden. Rheged Centre (12 miles, 20 minutes) offers exhibitions and movies. Lacy's Caves are 8 miles away (15 minutes). Little Salkeld village is on the walking route.
