The location puts you 1.7 miles from Druridge Bay Beach and 3.6 miles from Amble harbour. Walk through woodlands to Druridge Bay Country Park or visit Hauxley Wildlife Centre nearby. East Chevington Bay offers sandy shores for beach days.

The open-plan living area features a contemporary kitchen with electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge-freezer. A ground-floor shower room has a walk-in shower. Upstairs you'll find a bathroom with bath and hand-held shower. The double bedroom includes pine ceilings and a small library. WiFi and two TVs are provided. Washing machine available.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in Swallow Lodge. The property was spotlessly clean, well appointed and in a great location for exploring the area. The garden was stunning and a joy to sit in. Paul and Jacqui gave us a warm welcome making sure we had everything we needed and paid great attention to detail for all those little things which add to your holiday. They respected your privacy but were on hand if needed. Definitely recommend a stay here.

We had a wonderful stay at swallow Lodge, the lovely hosts Jacqui and Paul were very welcoming and informative about the area. The Lodge is perfect for a relaxing stay and is well appointed with everything you need including a nice bottle of red and some delicious chocolates! The garden is beautiful and our dog was able to wander round safely. We would love to go back sometime and explore more of beautiful Northumberland.

Very clean, comfortable, well equipped accommodation suitable for a couple. Just over a mile from Druridge Bay beach and a couple of miles south of the interesting fishing village of Amble.The house is set in a beautiful, large water garden with a places suitable for outside dining. The hosts, Paul and Jaquie, were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. One the very best selfcatering places we have stayed in...a real home from home!

This bijou lodge is very cosy and tastefully decorated and the owners warm and friendly. They were also very tolerant of my barky dog which has an aversion to large black dogs! I liked that a few seconds from the front door was a tarmacced public footpath where dogs could be excercised safely with beach and country park both within a few minutes drive. The living room looks out on to their gorgeous garden which we would have enjoyed more if the weather had been more clement. Recommended!

Jacqui and Paul were the perfect hosts thank you so much! You could come here for your holiday and there would be no need to go out except for food! as the beautiful garden which is accessible right from the patio doors is all you need to chill and relax whatever the weather throws at you. But it is a good base for visiting the lovely places associated with this amazing part of the country. Thank you.

Absolutely stunning from the moment we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome. The property is just beautiful, hand built by the owners Paul and Jacqui and the carpentry and attention to detail is stunning. Has to be seen to be believed. Waking up every morning to the beautiful gardens was an absolute delight. We had a delightful holiday getting to know Northumberland and the property in Hadston Amble was a great location. We couldn't have wished for more.

Fantastic place to stay, Paul & Jacqui provided us with great local knowledge on places to visit, Garden was absolutely beautiful need to return in Summer to see it in full bloom. Everything we could need for a relaxing break was provided here, great kitchen and everything provided to cook at night, cosy to sit and watch birds in the garden or TV. So quiet resulting in a great night's sleep. We loved our stay .

The property owners were very warm and welcoming when I arrived and, although I didn't need anything during my stay, it was good to know that they were very willing to offer any help they could. The property was warm and comfortable and had everything needed for a very pleasant stay. Swallow Lodge is at the edge of a large housing estate but was very quiet and there was a lovely view of the owner's beautiful garden which they were very happy to share from the living area and of the garden and the open field and trees beyond from the bedroom. The property was an easy drive to Amble and also to the very attractive and interesting local country park which, in turn, gave access to a fantastic sandy beach.

We have had a super week in a cosy , warm cottage that was spotlessly clean . There is so much to see and do in the area and we enjoyed meeting the owners and seeing the lovely garden .

We had a lovely stay at swallow lodge, it was a beautiful place all built and designed by Paul and Jacqui. The gardens with the ponds and fish were tranquil and relaxing, there were lots of sitting areas . The annex were we stayed at the side of theres was well thought out when designed, it was lovely and had everything in it for our stay, if we had forgotten anything it would of been sorted for us. Our dog Tom loved it especially the fields round the back, and he made a friend with jet there dog. Paul and Jacque were perfect hosts, and I would recommend any couple to go there for a peaceful retreat. It was central for visiting other places and the beautiful beaches and castles. The property was on an estate near a prison and was essentially a converted double garage. Previous reviews have covered the height of ceiling issues but if the property had been pristine and nice in every other way that would have been tolerable. There were not curtains on the door into the garden for privacy and the heating was outwith our control. I do not want to have to seek out the owner when I feel cold. A laundry without a dryer is useless and there was nowhere outside to dry washing. The kitchen was greasy, there was no dishwasher and the cupboards appear to be falling apart inside. We disliked it so much we left on Thursday morning. It would make me very wary of using you again and we have used you many times before. Not worth the money a caravan would have been about the same and so disappointing. It was difficult to raise issues given we had to go through the owners hall to access the property. Your listing was by the letter accurate but we feel should have defined the extremely small size and perhaps an inspection is required to check on the state of the kitchen and bedroom and bathroom.

Both Jackie and Paul were such lovely and wonderful hosts. The property was lovely with a stunning garden and was exactly as it was on the listing. Location was perfect for visiting alot of popular destinations and we would 100 stay here again without a doubt.

It required some agility to make use of the bath but otherwise the property was extremely well equipped, with every possible need provided for. Outside, as well as good parking space, there is a fascinating rear garden offering attractive lounging accommodation. Added to this the hosts were very welcoming and helpful at all times.

This is a delightful property, with the most wonderful garden that the owners were happy to share, sadly the weather didnt allow as much as we hoped. A super welcome from the owners and family dog who made us feel welcome and couldnt have done more to make our stay comfortable. Swallow Lodge is well located for the Northumberland sights. It had been thoughtful fitted out with everything you would need. Our only negative would be the sloping roof in the bedroom and bathroom which caught us out until we got used to it.

Swallow lodge is a beautiful quaint property which has all the comforts of home with every facility needed. The gardens are stunning with oriental feel ponds looking out to woodland. The bathroom facilities are well equipped with a hot shower and bath option. The kitchen has all pots and pans required with high quality cooker, microwave , toaster. There is a utility area with washing machine, ironing board and clothes hanger etc. The bed was super comfy and spotlessly clean. The owners Paul and Jacqui were the perfect hosts, welcoming and really approachable. Your comfort is their prime goal They even ensure you have toiletries available in the bathroom and dressing table in case you forget something I thought this was really thoughtful Ample storage in the bedroom too. Our dog made friends with Jet a very gentle greyhound. We will definitely be back , super relaxing holiday in a great location , the nearest beach is only a mile away , which stretches , 7 miles, Fabulous !!!
