Stone's Throw Reviews

Samantha
We had a very enjoyable stay at Stones Throw. The house was very clean and cosy, and was perfectly located in Amble. Very well equipped, we had everything we needed for the week and the generous welcome pack was much appreciated. Whilst there is no parking outside the house we were able to unload the car and then we parked in a nearby car park, there is also on street parking close by. We would not hesitate to book again.
Natasha
What an amazing property. Home from Home with all that you require and more. The little touch of the wine and chocolates was lovely, and George the dog loved the dog treats too. Property was central for everything you need from shops to walks. Fully would come back again. X

Really well placed property for exploring Northumberland. Although no designated parking had no problem parking close by. Really sweet welcome pack and great that clear instructions are left for everything. Property very clean and had fabulous nights sleep in the comfy bed. Cosy Cottage good for relaxing with everything thought of to make it a great stay.
Victoria
Stones Throw was one of the nicest properties we have stayed in. Cleanliness throughout, comfortable, fully equipped, thoughtful welcome pack, perfect location. Communication good from yourselves and owners from initial booking, locationparking instructions, key safe, to last day of holiday. I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation to our friends and will certainly be using it again myself.
Beautiful property very well equipped. Very comfortable beds. Fantastic shower. Couldnt have been better. Loved it. Will definitely return.
Third time we have stayed at Stones Throw. V central for the shops and restaurants. Good Wifi, parking close by. KItchen with washing machine, dishwasher etc Good bathroom, comfy beds. Will go back
Had a lovely stay the only draw back was parking and shared back yard, ... Had a lovely stay the only draw back was parking and shared back yard, especially when you have a dog and people leave the gate open, fortunately our dog didnt go out there only early morning and late at night
The property was perfect for our stay. We wojld certainly stay again.

Stones Throw was a very nice cottage just off the main street very handy for all amenities. We had lovely sunny days and enjoyed the coastal walks a unexpected bonus was the lights switch on. There was a Steel band just at the end of our street and the parade past by only 20 metres from our cottage. A wonderful weekend which we have many happy memories to cherish
The property is very clean and had everythung we needed inside. It was warm and cosy The bed was very comfy and the shower iwas great. The welcome pack was very much appreciated. Parking wasnt an issue as we didnt use the car a great deal and you canloadunload at the door. The only thing we missed was an outside space especially as the weather was so good. The yard isnt described as shared in the listing and we were worried about the dog being let out or weeing in the yard., so it meant we couldnt leave the kitchen door open.. Having a washing machine and dishwasher was a bonus though as i dont think they were in the description. Lots of great walks and things to do in the area and very close to the shops and places to eatdrink. A lovely house. We had a great week. Thank you.
Audrey
Very central location, short walk to supermarkets, pubs and restaurants. Free parking closeby.V comfy house with well furnished kitchen. Excellent welcome pack. Great shower with lots of hot water. Have stayed in Amble Watch upatairs their other property and this is just as good. Very happy with our stay
Amazing cottage what a find! Perfect location immaculately clean and super comfy. Had everything we needed and more. Not a problem with the parking and although we were disappointed that the yard was shared with another property, it didn't detract from our stay. We just didn't use it at all as it wasn't private. Hosts were super friendly with great communication and even left us a card for our anniversary! Already recommended it to friends and we'll definitely be back thanks Paul & Sandra.
Location was close to the amenities. Very good for dog walkers the cottage was one of the best we have stayed my only problem was the garden even though it was enclosed was no mention of sit been shared because of access to another property but the cottage was still very good
Lovely clean comfortable cottage.

We really enjoyed our stay at Stones Throw. The location is excellent within easy walking distance of the town, harbour and local bars and restaurants. Although there is no parking outside of the house we had no trouble parking locally. The house was well equipped and beautifully clean. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. We would certainly return and would recommend it to family and friends.
Jennifer
Comfortable, wellappointed accommodation in a good location. There are a range of options for eating out within easy walking distance. Owners took the time to give us guidance on local parking options and provided a generous welcome pack. An issue with the hot water was dealt with promptly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to stay there again in the future.
Nicely positioned and equipped cottage. Lovely welcome pack for both dogs and humans. Perfect for trips to surrounding areas. The only negative is that there is no garden for dogs to use, but there is a large area down to the marina a few strides away. Parking was no problem at all.
A great base for exploring the local area and beyond. It is evident that the owners have thought through everything their visitor's may need. Clean, well appointed and equipped. Any problems and they are quickly on it. We had no problems with parking nearby and our dog enjoyed the large green area just a few minutes walk away which made up for the lack of a garden.
Lovely cosy cottage, spotlessly clean, well situated for all that we wanted to do in the area. Great welcome pack for us and our dog too. Would definitely stay there again if visiting Northumberland
Very comfortable had everything we needed, welcome pack lovely touch. Will be back.
Melinda
Super accommodation, both clean and comfortable with everything you need provided. Hosts made us feel welcome and are great communicators. Had a much appreciated welcome pack too! Great to have a decent shower as well. Amble is a great base for exploring the coast and has plenty of facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.
Lovely property in a great location both for local amenities and Northumberland in general.
Lesley
A lovely clean, well equipped cottage with all amenities on the doorstep, a great base for walking and bird watching. We had a nice few days but that wind off the North Sea was freezing.
Sheila
I had a great time at Stone's Throw, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Central location, plenty of parking nearby, lovely welcome pack and great communication from the owners. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay here again in the future.
We really enjoyed our stay at Stones Throw. The owners attention to detail is second to none with so many simple little touches. Great location for attractions both near and further afield. Would definitely recommend
Alison
A fantastic little cottage right in the centre of all the amenities. The cottage had everything we needed and the welcome pack was the icing on the cake Thankyou
Alison

Andrew
We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Stones Throw. The welcome pack was well appreciated. The property was very clean and comfortable. A great area for local shops and touring the Northumberland coast with highlights of Bamburgh Castle & Holy Island. We would highly recommend and will stay again in the near future.
This is a great property and is really well positioned in the lovely seaside town for the shops and for the marina. There are 2 small supermarkets within 2 mins walk in either direction and a bigger one a few mins drive away The property is well equipped for the average family with good storage for coats boots downstairs and good drawer wardrobe space upstairs. There were also dog treats and a dog dish for visitors. The property was spotless and had all of the basics that youd need upon arrival milk coffee sugar juice etc as well as washing up liquid tea towels bath towels etc Communication from the owners was the most proactive and helpful that I have had from any owners and was much appreciated although having spent a week in amble for the last 2 years we didnt need to call upon them. There is also a very useful folder with details of the WiFi etc and a box full of leaflets for things to do in the area. Amble is the best base we have used for Northumberland you seem to be able to get anywhere quickly and without issue. The only niggle was the noise outside it wasnt bad at all but on 2 consecutive mornings I was woken by the bin refuse wagon to be fair I did have the window open. Really handy to have a grassy area right next to the house for the early morning late night dog walk but if going in winter months please take a torch ! Loved it and I would definitely recommend it.
Lovely cottage which has been beautifully renovated to a high standard. Close to all the amenities Amble has to offer and within driving distance to all the beautiful coastal towns of Northumberland. I would definitely return.
Really loved this cottage, was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Location was spot on too
We had a lovely stay in a very cosy comfortable house. Well located and close to everything. The house was equipped with everything we needed and was a perfect base close to many lovely places to visit. Would love to stay again
Stone Throw was tastefully decorated and had everything we needed for our weeks stay. Situated in the centre of town we were within easy reach of shops and eateries. Would recommend anyone to stay here for a relaxing seaside location.
Joseph
Had a wonderful week at stones throw our hosts paul & Sandra could not have been more welcoming. Great location to discover the Northumberland coast and inland not far to visit Edinburgh..counting the days for our return. Joe & madeleine.x
Lovely cottage, well maintained, very clean , I believe recently renovated to good standard. Beds very comfy, bathroom tastefully decorated, with sufficient towels, etc Kitchen appliances all brand new, cooker easy to use, perhaps a steamer to use, would save on cooking things individually, plus help with electric, no cleaning products to use if you have a disaster, extra bags for rubbish, plus no recycling properly yet in your area, which has nothing to do with cottage, just environment. Situated in lovely area, marina at bottom of street, with plenty of shops on your doorstep if needed, plus market on Sunday in harbour which was very busy. Plenty of walks round about, and other areas to visit of interest, would definitely come again, only problem for our group, as I brought a friend who has mobility problems, using the stairs for toilet and bed was difficult, again something I should have thought of before I came, but would definitely recommend the cottage to anyone for a break in Northumberland, plus thank you for lovely welcome pack on arrival from Janet, Alan and Diane
A wonderful cottage on the English coastal path. The owner provided everything to make our stay very comfortable. Amble is a fantastic base to explore the beautiful Northumberland coast and we had some great walks.
