Angie gave us lots of information, we went to local beautiful places and we even went by train to Edinburgh to see Britannia. Lovely welcoming host at the secret kingdom. Nice peaceful location and plenty of home comforts in the property. Our first visit to the area of Northumberland and found all the boxes we had ticked to visit and all within easy reach of our accomodation. Highly recommend this delightful cottage.

The cottage was fantastic. We had everything you could wish for. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, clean, quiet, fabulous views, parking for two cars. Not to far into Warkworth. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only wished we had longer.

Great option for a large family friends group to take the two cottages. Easy to walk down to Warkworth, which also has good parking options for the beach. Cottages are well equipped and comfortable, would highly recommend as a base for a week in Northumberland.

Lovely place to stay with beautiful surroundings, everything you need is there, beds comfy cannot fault anything. Surrounding areas beautiful with plenty of things to do for any age all within short drives. Owners very approachable nothing too much trouble. Only request which is more personal one is maybe a small handrail for showers, if any one is a bit unsteady., but does not cause an issue as l am a bit unsteady and had no issues.

Secret kingdom cottage is a hidden gem. Clean and comfortable with a touch of luxury, in beautiful surroundings. We slept so well in super comfortable beds and loved the peace and quiet. Its great for two couples, no arguing about who gets which bedroom , both are the same and lovely bathrooms too. A warm northern welcome from the owners made us feel at home. Its a delightful place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming holiday cottage near Warkworth, Northumberland. Nestled in a peaceful, rural location, the cottage offered a tranquil escape with the added convenience of being just 1015 minutes from nearby towns. The surrounding area is a treasure trove of attractions, with highlights including Alnwick Castle, Alnwick Gardens & Lillidorei, Lindisfarne Priory, Vindolanda, the Roman Army Museum, Hay Farm, a Farne Islands boat tour, and the Life Science Centre in Newcastle. There were also plenty of great restaurants nearby to enjoy. The cottage itself was spacious and wellsuited for our group of four, with two equally sized king bedrooms and bathrooms, ensuring no debates over who got the better room! The cleanliness was excellent overall, though the floors could have benefited from a deeper clean. The kitchen was wellequipped with ample cutlery, crockery, and basic amenities, making our stay comfortable and hasslefree. The furnishings, including the beds and seating, were very comfortable, with plenty of pillows to ensure a good nights sleep. The checkin process was seamless, with the host providing clear instructions about the key safe and even meeting us on arrival for a personal tour of the property. A handy welcome manual was provided, and the hosts communication was outstanding, checking in during our stay and before checkout to ensure everything was going smoothly. The only minor hiccup was initially finding the entrance, as the door was at the back of the building from the driveway, but this was a small issue. Overall, the cottage offered excellent value for money, and we would highly recommend it to others. Its perfect for families, couples, or small groups, though a car is essential due to the rural location. The hosts thoughtful communication and the cottages comfortable, wellappointed setup made this a memorable and delightful stay.

A very well equipped, tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable cottage in a peaceful setting with gorgeous views. The owners have paid great attention to detail providing everything necessary for a relaxing holiday. A lovely welcome pack was provided and we really appreciated the bunch of roses which lasted for the whole week of our stay. Northumberland is a favourite area of ours to visit, and this is definitely one of the best cottages weve stayed in.

A Secret Kingdom is just what it is. A wonderful holiday home in a beautiful setting. Quiet and peaceful with lovely views. The accommodation was perfect in every way with great attention to paid to detail and furnished with great taste. All the modern conveniences of a home wrapped up in a luxurious holiday accommodation. A welcome basket and goodies was a special touch. Very friendly and extremely helpful owners complete the whole package. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to come to this amazing part of the world.

We had an enjoyable early June stay in Secret Kingdom Cottage which we thought very comfortable with excellent facilities. Its rural location with easy access to, and views of the Northumbrian coast and countryside was particularly pleasing. The owner's were very supportive in making our stay as easy as possible.

The home owner was always available if we needed anything. Her information binder on the table for new arrivals was excellent for content and information including instructions for using kitchen equipment as well as tourist attractions.

My parents and I absolutely loved our stay at the Secret Cottage Kingdom. It was the perfect peaceful retreat to unwind and recharge, with everything we could possibly need. Tucked away in a quiet spot but still incredibly close to all the main attractions, it struck the ideal balance. In just a week, we packed in so much from Holy Island to the grandeur of Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle and the stunning Alnwick gardens, the fascinating Cragside estate, and even a boat tour around the Farne Islandsand thats not even everything! The two ensuite bedrooms were a real bonus, making our stay extra comfortable. Every afternoon, we relaxed outside on the patiosuch a lovely spot to enjoy the fresh air. Angie and Frank were great hosts and made sure we had everything we needed, always on hand if we had questions. I can recommend it to everyone and def want to return.

Lovely location, nice and quiet. A lot of thought has gone into deciding what holidaymakers will need and it has been provided. A great deal of attention to detail. Communication from the owner was spot one. The owners were present when we arrived and showed us around, nice touch. Very nice peaceful property conveniently located and with a private outside sitting area with views over fields and far reaching to coast. Extremely attentive lovely host making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Good sized kitchen and comfortable beds. This is a great place to stay, we loved it. Arrival and departure would have been easier with a solid path to the entrance door which is at the opposite end of the house from the driveway, currently gravel. Cases have to be carried down the side of the house, not easy if this happens to be part of a month long international trip as it was for me. This was not discussed with our host although she very kindly offered to help at both the start and end of our stay, but sadly only after we had already carried everything. Less able people need to be aware, able to carry a distance or and pack light, as being single story, this property is likely to attract older guests. Overall a wonderful stay.

This was the best place we had stayed in. It had everything you needed, it was cosy, warm, quiet, and had a beautiful outlook. We could have lived in it permanently. The owners were very helpful and friendly, thank you Angie and Frank.

We had a wonderful stay at The Secret Kingdom cottage. It was very tastefully decorated and the owners had thought of absolutely everything you could possibly need in the cottage. For instance, each bedroom had their own hairdryer! And the dressing table was near a plug socket which in a lot of properties, it isnt! Anyone wanting a holiday in beautiful surroundings, staying in luxury accommodation, then I would highly recommend this property.

Secret Kingdom Cottage is a wonderful place to stay. It's modern, spacious, warm and comfortable. Things like the hob, oven, dishwasher, sink, fridgefreezer and cupboards are logically positioned and everything you need is there and easy to use. The property owners were very helpful and gave us some good suggestions for interesting walks and places to visit. We stayed for a week in January and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The lodge was immaculate and very well presented with absolutely everything you could possibly need even a corkscrew for a short stay. The beds and linens were super soft and so comfortable. The heating system was brilliant and kept us nice and cosy even in the icy winds and snow. The correspondence with the owner was fabulous before, during and after our stay. The welcome gifts and fresh flowers was a lovely touch. We would recommend this lodge to anyone looking for some peace and quiet in beautiful countryside and gorgeous places to visit. We will definitely be back

My husband and I had a wonderful 4 day stay at Secret Kingdom, Angie, one if the owners met us on arrival, she was lovely, making sure we had everything we needed. The cottage is beautifully furnished and was equipped with everything we could need, it was clean and very comfortable. It was a very peaceful, restful place, fabulous location not far from gorgeous beaches. Many thanks Angie and Frank for making our stay so we wonderful.

It was a lovely cottage. So cosy and homely. Had everything you need for an amazing week. The views are great and waking up to amazing sunrises over the sea in the morning are special. Communication with the owner throughout was excellent. All in all it is a little gem.

What was there not to like! I spent a bit of time prior to our holiday researching different locations and properties before settling on 'Secret Kingdom'. I am so glad we did absolutely everything was perfect. I honestly, cannot think of anything negative to say about this holiday property. It has our myself and wife 100 recommendation. Spacious, well specced, clean and comfortable.....and very nice owners!

We had a fabulous stay at Secret Kingdom. The property was clean, modern and had fabulous views. Angie and Frank went the extra mile to ensure we made the most of our stay. They provided excellent suggestions for attractions to visit, places to eat and also provided a huge bag of toys that are our 2 young boys definitely appreciated!

Lovely ecocottage clean, comfortable and well located as a base to explore. The only downside was that we found the underfloor heating system complicated to operate and slow to respond on cooler days and in the evenings. We recommend that visitors attend the training session from the owners.

A beautiful property, well maintained, excellently maintained and in quiet and convenient location. My wife and I stayed for two weeks and loved our holiday in Secret Kingdom Cottage. There is so much to do and see in the area and with Alnmouth train station just 10 minutes away, catching a train to Newcastle and Edinburgh is very easy. Amble is just a short drive away with its supermarkets, restaurants and take aways and, Warkworth is a short 1.5 miles away or a short drive and we would highly recommend Bertrams for both breakfast and dinner. Angie couldn't have done more to make our stay happy and comfortable and we would highly recommend.

All 4 of us had a fantastic time at Secret Kingdom Cottage. Clean,comfortable,modern and a great home from home for our week in Northumberland.

Lovely house in a wonderful location. Everything needed for a self catering stay. Great space, comfy Sofas, great dining area. Plenty of crockery cutlery, glasses and plastic to use outside. Bedrooms both have ensuites, comfy bed and although no actual wardrobe there is good hanging space and plenty of coat hangers. Lovely outdoor area Consisting of table and chairs and then a sofa area, great views outside and in of sea and Croquet Island. Very private area and also great parking space for cars. The house is in a great area for Bamburgh, Alnwick castle. With Cragside and Wallington Hall National Trust, Berwick upon Tweed. Warksworth is a lovely village with eateries, the castle and numerous pubs. We will definately be going back to this property

Everything was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with even the smallest of comforts considered, e. G. tissue boxes, cleaning products, tea, coffee supplied, as well as welcome chocolate, flowers and wine. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Northumberland to use this cottage. Only one slight issue with one of the showers, but communication with the owner was great. The property is a credit to the owners, the 4 of us had a lovely time, thankyou!

A very clean, comfortable and modern cottage. The owner left wine milk, tea and coffee which was appreciated. We had a slight issue with the heating which was very erratic especially in the two bathrooms. The supplementary heating was useful in the lounge area. There was a delay in returning the good house keeping bond but it was resolved very amicably. The location was perfect, convenient for both Alnwick and Warkworth. Plenty to see and do in the area.
