Just what we hoped it would be. Some very minor issues with maintenance but did not affect holiday in any way. Would happily recommend it to others
Good weeks stay at Rosedale House. The property is in a great location for all the amenities in Amble and parking was easy. The house is very spacious and well equipped for catering, air fryer was a bonus. Both bathrooms were well equipped and the beds were all comfortable. The lounge had enough seating for 5, but television was on the small side and maybe could benefit from an extra television somewhere in the property, but there were a good collection of games and books. All in all a good property to stay at.
Rachel
The cottage felt like a home from home. We were very comfortable, with everything we needed provided for. The location was quiet. Away from the busier roads. But within a quick walk to the nearest shop and the harbour. We loved our stay and will be returning to Rosedale House next year.
Fab property close to the beach and harbour. Great for all age's. Property clean and spacious
We had an excellent family holiday, the location is perfect for the beach. The house was lovely, there were a couple of minor wear and tear issues door handle not working from the inside of the small bedroom but we pointed these out to Katie, who was excellent and very helpful, who manages the property and these werent an issue.
Nice large holiday home in excellent location. We had everything we needed for a fabulous stay in this lovely part of the country.
Well equipped and clean. Really enjoyed our stay
We absolutely loved our stay at Rosedale House. Its a lovely spacious house with all the home away from home comforts you would need, inc milk and teacoffeesugar. The beds are very comfy, its super quiet and theres a fab green where you can walk the dog and head over to the beach. Amenities in Amble inc pubs and restaurants are just a short stroll away and the people of Amble are very friendly and welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful stay, it was just what we needed to recharge our batteries.
Duncan
Lovely property just as listed modern, spacious and wellequipped, was perfect for our family and our dog! Great to cook in the lovely kitchen and gather in the warm room. Amble is lovely too very scenic, great walking, nice town and lots to do nearby
Lorraine
Fabulous home from home. Rosedale is in the perfect location, minutes to the beach and a short stroll into town. The house itself has everything you could need and the welcome goodies were a lovely touch. Cant wait to stay here again.
The neighbours are very abrupt about visitors parking near the property. The house is lovely...we didn't need the wine or biscuits if we can have hand soap in the kitchen and bathroom along with maybe a couple of loo rolls until we find the shops. Lovely size, perfect for our needs and lovely and quiet.
Lindsey
A really lovely place to stay, comfortable, clean and beautifully furnished. Great location too. Issues identified in some earlier reviews have been addressed, and the house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
What a beautiful house in a stunning location! We've had a perfect week and didn't want to leave. When we arrived the house was absolutely spotlessly clean and the kitchen was really well equipped with everything you could need. The appliances were really good quality. The only small downside we found was the there were no mirrors in the bedrooms on the 3rd floor, not a big issue we coped. Also some of the windows were tricky to close. Overall a fantastic property in a beautiful location. We had a fab week loved the Harbour and beaches for our kids and dog, will definitely stay again.
Late minute booking for a week fab house, spotlessly clean, comfy beds and sofas, everything we needed in kitchen. Didnt use all the bedrooms but house still felt cosy and comfortable. 5 mins walk to beach, no problem with car parking during our week. Happy to return here for break.
We have stayed in quite a few holiday let's in amble over the last few years and they have all been lovely unfortunately this wasn't. The house could do with a good clean as it was quite grubby in places. There was no cleaning supplies in the property at all not even a bin liner. This is the first time we have had to go out and buy them. The top floor bedroom has no mirror so it's impossible to dry your hair. The chest of drawers is falling to bits. The house sleeps 6 and there is only 2 outside chairs to sit on. The worst thing about the property is the unbearable smell of dogs throughout the whole of the ground floor. Overall it was a very disappointing stay.
I really enjoyed my stay at Rosedale cottage. It catered for all my needs. Also easy access to the beach.
The cottage was lovely and very well set up, with everything we needed. A wonderful location, close to the sea and very quiet. I could have done with more information on recycling and rubbish collection, and ended up having to look up the local council guidance. Also, the shower in the main bathroom did not drain properly but the local contact, Katie, came quickly to try to sort it out. I'm not sure if it was fixed as we had baths after that. I do think the owners are being a bit extravagant setting the central heating to 21 degrees, whatever the weather. We had to keep turning it down!

We enjoyed our stay at rosedale. The cottage has all you need for your stay. It was clean and tidy, the beds were comfortable so we slept well. It is in an ideal position for Amble fish Quay and beaches, and the surrounding area. There are a lot of steps if you are staying on the top floor, which is mentioned in the description also there were no decent mirrors on the top floor, even in the bathroom. The radiator in the 1st floor bathroom does not work, and had been mentioned in a previous review.. The access road is very uneven and potholey and needs addressing I had a new car and it was annoying having to manoeuvre around the holes . The issues I have mentioned spoiled what could have been a excellent stay.
The owners were very helpful. Lovely people. The house is great. Everything we needed was there. Only issues we found were that the bathroom radiator did not work properly and the floor in there whilst lovely is chilly on the feet. The shower in main bathroom also did not drain very well. We could not see any reason for this. The road outside is heavily potholed so take are driving in. It is in a great location very close to beach. Its also very quiet. We had a lovely Christmas and thank the owners who allowed us in an hour early. Its a lovely place with everything you need. Fantastic for families as very large! On edge of village. Morrisons not far away and Coop in village. Short drive to Alnwick. Warkworth Castle well worth the vist.

Had an absolutely lovely long weekend with friends at Rosedale House. The property was perfect for the needs of our group and felt like a proper 'home from home' a warm and welcoming space where we could all relax together in the evening after days out exploring the coast. The location is perfect just a short stroll across the green, down to the sea or 5 minutes walk into the town centre. The rooms and communal spaces are comfortable and the kitchen is very wellstocked with utensils and crockery plenty of space for cooking dinner for five. We would definitely rent this property again. The only reason we haven't given it 5 stars is because the lighting in the kitchen is a little bit too dim and that made it difficult to see when cooking. Unfortunately the light in the overhob extractor also wasn't working. I'm sure this is less of a problem in the summer when there's plenty of natural light but in winter we were mainly cooking after dark, so a bit of extra wattage would have been very useful! I've said 'no' to publishing the feedback, mainly because I didn't want our complaint about the kitchen lighting to be published. It was a minor issue in what was otherwise a really great stay.
We love Rosedale House and this was our third stay. However on the previous two occasions under the original management company the property has been spotless on our arrival and this time it was not. We do not believe many of the horizontal surfaces had seen a duster in weeks. There was only one soiled tea towel we had taken our own and an oven glove had dried on food. The frying pan should be replaced as it was dirty and we were unable to clean it satisfactorily There were only 5 dinner plates for 6 people! We took our own but there were no dishwasher tablets, just an empty box, and a couple of washing machine tablets would also have been welcome as would a better scourer and sponge. Scissors would be a useful addition to the utensils too and we could not find a broom. The top bathroom toilet seat requires attention.
Samantha
The property is in a fantastic location easy walking distance to town rock pools park and a great base to visit other areas such as Alnmouth and Alnwick. Overall the property was great with lots of space for our group of 3 adults and 2 kids. Parking was easy outside. My only feedback is the interior could do with a little tlc. Simple changes like comfier cushions in the lounge and a better stocked kitchen would make a difference glasses spatula more plates and bowls overall fab cottage and would love to come back
Judith
Property was a great location with easy parking and loads of room for group of 5 plus dog! . A Parking disc thing with instructions would have been helpful only 1 but we didnt know about them or how to buy one and got quite frustrated trying to park in various places moroeth & alnwick not knowing what a disc was. Figured it out in the end, found a machine and bought one. we also left it behind for the next guests to use.
We had a lovely stay at Rosedale House and were really happy with both the accommodation and the location. There was plenty of space in the house for 5 adults, a toddler and a dog and great to be so near the sea and lovely town of Amble. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well kitted out and it was a really quiet and relaxing place to stay. Amble is a lovely harbour town with beach, green spaces, interesting shops and food outlets and also close to other beautiful places to visit. Would certainly stay here again!
Richard
Negative comments are mainly based on the state of the kitchen and the cleanliness of downstairs. Sometimes wonder if youre reps visit the property to ensure they are in good order. Upstairs was in better order and if it had all been like that, then no problems. Position was ideal for us with having the dog.
Rosedale is a lovely three storey, south facing property just a few hundred yards for the sea. It&39s well furnished and equipped and is presented to a high standard. We loved our stay here and would consider coming back. It&39s situatued close with a 5 min walk of the centre of Amble. All in all very good.
We found the property had a warm & welcoming air as you came through the door. It is clean and all you will need is in the property.
The property was perfect for our needs, clean and well equipped. It was a pleasant 15 minute walk from Amble via the coast and convenient for places to visit. There was parking for both cars, and although the space outside was close to full we never had a problem in finding a space. We&rsquod definitely consider booking this property again.
Fab stay. Second time in Rosedale. Will be back. The welcome with a set table and wine and snacks is really appreciated. Thank you.
