Excellent location for exploring Northumberland. Spacious self catering property that was really well equipped. You can walk to Druridge Bay Nature Reserve from the property and there are loads of local sights within an hour's drive including Beamish, Alnwick and Bamburgh.

Jamaal Lodge was perfect for our holiday with three grownup children & their partners. It was clean, comfortable & had lots of space. There was plenty of crockery & cutlery which made it easier to use the dishwasher & still have spare cups for drinks. The utility room was very useful, we could leave all our coats & footwear there. We were lucky to have dry, sunny weather, so we visited several beaches from Lindisfarne to the nearby Druridge Bay & the lovely Drift cafe. The property is in a good location to travel easily to local beaches, or go on the A1 to Lindisfarne. My son has asked if I can book Jamaal Lodge again for next year. I would be happy to return.
Home away from home! We spent 7 days there and it was amazing stay. Well stocked with necessary equipment. Clean place and great location. Highly recommended! 5

We were very disappointed with the property it needs a complete overhaul. We had an elderly aunt with us 88 and found that there are a couple of trip hazards that need to be highlighted, one at the front door and a wire coming away from the bottom of the threshold on the back door. The beading on the external door frame came off completely. Dining room chairs are worse for wear, so are the balcony rattan chairs upstairs. The property was in a good location for Alnwick, Amble and beaches.

Fantastic property, everything the description says and more. Would defiantly recommend. Superb location.
We found the owners very friendly and the area was quiet and in a good location for exploring local amenities. Have to agree with previous reviews that say the lodge is a bit tired in places. The ramps to the front and back doors need attention and probably replacement. During our stay, some lattice work fell off one of the windows. The grass in the back garden needed a cut and the gate to the garden was temperamental. We really missed a full length mirror and felt that in the bathrooms the mirrors were too high and the sinks were too low. The clock in the kitchen didn't work. In general, there were some small things that needed some attention but overall we had an enjoyable stay.
Had a lovely holiday. Shame not a bit of milk or a teabag after long 4 hour drive. How ever cleaned never checked dishwasher or air fryer. We were told dishwasher must be empty when leaving wasnt when we arrived. Air fryer full of water so unable to use it as it hadnt been cleaned. The lodge was lovely but these few things make a difference.
Michael
This the second time we've stayed here and think this is the perfect location for exploring Northumberland. Accommodation is really good with everything you need for a couple of weeks holiday. Only one negative comment is that the lodge is starting to look a bit tired could do with a bit of a spruce up. Apart from that really good value for money and will likely return in a year or two.
Michelle
This was our second time staying at the Jamaal lodge. It has everything you need to cook with and including a coffee machine. It needs some tlcmeaning tightening screws in the chairs maybe some new couches but apart from that very comfortable stay. Near Duridge bay, which we walked to every day with our 2 dogs. A short drive to Amble market on the Sunday and to Alnwick. Great place to stay.
Well equipped house in a good position to explore Northumberland. Beach and nature reserve an easy walk or a short drive. Highly recommended.
We have stayed at this lodge a number of times and it never disappoints. There is everything you need both in the lodge and the surrounding area to enjoy a break in this lovely part of the country. We would not hesitate to return should this property remain a holiday let in the future.
We loved the property. It was v comfortable, v clean and had a lovely layout. Ideally placed to visit the beach and only a short drive to Newcastle. Fantastic.
Michelle
What a lovely lodge, it seemed a waste as it was only the 2 of us. Loved the layout, it had everything you needed. The garden is enclosed which was good for the dogs. We seemed to have been lucky with the weather too. Really good location of the lodge as it was walking distance to Druridge bay, which we visited everyday to give the dogs a good walk. Local chippy was nice and friendly lovely pizza. Went out for some food at the Amble inn which the fish wasnt the best, the batter was really crispy and dark, it was like it had been lying under the heat for to long. I would definitely recommend the lodge though and go back myself.
Christine
Brilliant property. Been six times now. Improved by the addition of a new large TV, Airfryer and updated WiFi. Thank you. Very dog friendly with the friendly Caretaker living opposite. Very easy parking in front of the garage. Close to the wonderful Druridge Bay.
Stayed here with family 3 times now and always enjoyed our stay. Very well equipped and comfy. No negative comments needed
Sharon
We loved Jamaal Lodge and would definitely come back again. Everything was perfect for us.
We loved our stay at Jamaal Lodge! The lodge is a great size and is incredibly well equipped with everything you might need for your stay. The upstairs living area meant there was loads of room for us all we ranged from a party of 5 to 8 over the week. The location was perfect to explore beautiful Northumberland, with Druridge Bay literally minutes away for an early morning or evening walk on the beach with the dogs. Secure back garden was great for the dogs too. Thanks for a great stay.
Gilbert
We had a comfortable and enjoyable week in Jamaal Lodge
Barbara
Jamaal Lodge was a perfect location for a family holiday with easy access to Alnwick, Bamburgh, Amble to name just a few. The house has everything you need for your stay including an air fryer first time I have had one in an holiday property Garden is enclosed for dogs but no door opens on to the garden directly. Druridge park just down the road was wonderful. Lots of walks and beach access. Thank you and we hope to return in the future.
Lovely holiday home, great facilities, had everything we needed, bed comfortable and great garden for dogs, had a great time and thank you.
Barrie
A lovely very spacious warm house and very well equipped kitchen everything one needs. The dog walking just 20 metres is first class. However, all the windows needed cleaning and appears this hasn't occurred for some time, and finally for the first time of renting there was no welcome pack i.e. milk and bread and taking into this is a house for 8 and we are 2 the saving on laundry etc would have been substantial.
Sharon
This property was excellent in itself and the position made it a good base for exploring the coast of Northumberland. For multigenerational holidays the provision of two lounge areas made it easy for people to relax as they wanted to. Lots of board games provided for times when the weather may be a bit wet.
Lovely spacious but cosy lodge which was ideal for our family get together and a perfect base to explore the area.
Had a lovely weekend for my best friend birthday, had 8 guests was very spacious, clean and tidy. Loved our stay and would definitely go back
Michael
First class accommodation. No complaints whatsoever. Location perfect with short drives to plenty of interesting places and a 25 min walk to a beautiful lake and the beach. Local shops 5 min walk a godsend. Caretaker lives across the road and is so approachable. He also puts your bins out for you. Would definitely rent again.
Michelle
Fabulous accommodation! Comfortable, clean, spacious and very well equipped. Me and my family had a wonderful time making precious memories
An absolutely wonderful property. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to visit again soon. Fabulous position only a short drive from the beach. Lovely rooms in which to relax we all loved it!!!
Sallie
Fantastic property with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Very comfortable beds and spacious bedrooms, the living and kitchen areas are also extremely spacious lovely comfy sofas to relax on after a day walking. The rear enclosed garden is fabulous for dogs too. The accommodation is in a perfect location for exploring and only a 15 minute walk to druridge lake and fabulous beach. Help is always at hand if you need it or have any queries or questions and nothing is to much trouble. Would highly recommend
Robert
Jamal lodge has plenty of space for 2 families or 4 couples and their pets. Great base to explore Northumberland with some nice local dog walks right across the road there's a path that you can turn right or left for great doggy walks. Got everything you need for a week or two away from home all facilities are good just needs updating a bit and the lodge could do with some maintenance and a lick of paint. Overall I was happy with Jamal lodge and would go back.
Amanda
We have stayed here before, so we know it is good, but a few comments we have are. Comfort could do with a fix on the sofa downstairs. This is very sunken in the middle and we all had issues getting up and out of this. Cleanliness we had an issue with flies. Lots of flies present as soon as we took over. We could kill 6 to 10 a day, but more back the next day to replace them. We could not find where they were coming from as the lodge itself was very clean. We had no windows or doors open, so issue might need further investigation.
John Henry
This is a lovely Swiss style lodge. Very well equipped and very comfortable. The walks on Druridge Bay were fantastic, we almost had the whole beach to ourselves, mainly met other dog walkers. Amble is a lovely town it's Sunday market is worth a visit. Morpeth is another town well worth a visit. We love the Northumberland coast and this is a excellent place to base yourselves.
Maxine
Loved our stay at Jamaal Lodge, the property is first class with everything you need there. Loved Northumberland, the beaches were amazing enjoyed by us and our dog. Will definitely return to this property.
Lovely chalet, well equipped, plenty of room if the weather turns and well positioned to explore the NE coast only 5 mins from a nature reserve and the beach. Slightly quirky setting on an estate but easy to get used to. Lovely neighbours opposite looking after the property.
Catherine
Lovely house but a bit surprised to find it in the middle of a housing estate. Despite this it was quiet and a great location for exploring the area. Good sized enclosed garden for the dogs. Really enjoyed our stay thank you.
Steven
Excellent property as described we really enjoyed our break Jackie was very helpful thank you so much
We have stayed at this cottage before and it is consistently the ideal base for a break in Northumberland. Cottage is always clean and comfortable. The new boiler meant it was warm when the weather outside was anything but !! The cottage is only a short distance from the coast which was great for long walks with the dogs on the beach. We will be returning next year.
Christine
Lovely property. Fourth visit here. Very close to druridge bay, which is my favourite beach. Half an hour walk or 5 min drive. Doggy friendly. Bath towels are provided, so we take our own bath sheets.
Kathleen
I would say that the tv reception downstairs is useless. Also the travel cot was very poor no mattress to speak of. Otherwise well equipped.
Sylvia
That the bed in the top bedroom was not as comfortable as it could be, otherwise a most pleasant stay
