Idlewyld Amble Reviews

Carolyn
Superb location on the edge of town. Buses run regularly from stops just outside property to Alnwick and Morpeth . The property has plenty of space and is well equipped. The beds are very comfortable. We had issues with the heating which was reported the holiday cottages .
Kevin
Comfortable well equipped and close to all amenities.
Anne
There are quite a few things that need to be sorted and these have been passed on to the owner. It was difficult at times getting the cars out onto the main road, especially with the lane running alongside the garden wall. Reply from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for sharing your feedback, we're sorry the property was not up to standard. We have raised these issues with our team to resolve.
David
This is a roomy, well appointed property, close to local facilities and with plenty of recommendations from the owners for local activities and eateries. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed our week in Amble.
Richard
The house (which is for sale) is a nice big house. Great location and nice big rooms. The access isn't great if you have a big car and the back garden is small bot overall its a nice place and well located.
Lynne
Disappointed as soon as we pulled up outside, the house is on a very busy main road , the garden is all overgrown, Although the house has most of what you would want , there are a lot of issues that let it down, not recommend for older people with mobility issues . Reply from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your feedback, we apologies the property was not up to standard on this occasion. We have raised with our team to address these issues.
Jayne
Excellent location for all amenities. Dog walkers heaven as access onto public fields adjoining marina is just minutes from front door Amazing place and so many castles and beaches . Loved it
Eyvind Jae
Very spacious house, ideal for our family. Has all the things we needed and was near to everything we wanted to visit in Northumberland. It's close by foot to the supermarket, cafes, shops and pubs.
Cindy
Good location, very comfortable we all slept well. The house is in need of some TLC. Drive way fits two small sized cars.
Joyce
Cottage clean and had everything you would need. Beds comfortable and bedding very nice. Location good for dog walks and lots of lovely beaches nearby. With the cottage located right on the main road we had to be very careful with our 4 dogs as they could all have got out of the front garden especially the border between the house next door and their gate was always open onto the road.
Ann
Good location but situated on a very busy main road. Shops and restaurants in walking distance. House could be cleaner. Comfortable seating and beds, electric showers a bit of a challenge in the morning.
Sheila
Spacious and comfortable accommodation. Needs a little attention to details.
Deborah
Lovely spacious warm comfortable house in a lovely area although the road outside is quite busy. Great TVs and sound systems. Lovely area to explore with beautiful beaches and lots of pubs and and good places to eat nearby.
Graham
Lovely property very close to local pubs, shops and the harbour. Nice safe walks for our dog along the roD to the next village and harbour. Pubs were very friendly, and welcoming. Carefully parked 2 vehicles off road which was good.
Debbie

Carolyn
A very comfortable well appointed house. Plenty of space for the family to spread out. A short walk away is a great area to exercise the dogs. Ideally located to enjoy the beautiful Northumberland coast. Also the coast liner bus can be caught very close to the property.
Carolyn
Good location. Excellent equipped kitchen. V good heating. Great TV. Good Wi-Fi. Problems with plumbing once reported dealt with quickly and efficiently. Comfortable sofas and beds. No real garden so plenty of walks to nearby Marina and Braid. Nearby co-op Amble. Lovely house and we & our four dogs enjoyed their holiday there.
Laura
