Fisherman's Row Reviews

Michael
What an excellent holiday cottage. The house is recently refurbished to a very high standard and is exceptionally clean throughout. The kitchen is very well equipped, with all modern appliances and all the utensils that you might need. The sofas in the living room are very comfortable and the smart TV is welcome. The upstairs has very comfortable beds and nice sized rooms. The bathroom is spotless. The shower flow is a bit feeble, but that is the only minor flaw in this otherwise beautiful and cosy house.
Beautifully clean and well equipped. Welcome pack very nice, really friendly neighbour called in to let us know about road closure was planned. Very well positioned for visiting all the surrounding places of interest. Only possible suggestion would be smart TV with streaming service such as Netflix?? Especially with dark nights at this time of year. Thank you for lovely week!
Fishermans Row was exactly how it was on the website, very comfortable and in a great location , easy walking distance to Amble Centre but very quiet.
Eileen
Wonderful location, immaculate up to date accommodation and great hosts. Contact details, arrival and entry arrangements plus useful information about the local area were all provided so was a very relaxing break. All of the equipment and facilities at the house were clean and of a high standard. Overall, our experience was excellent
This is a beautiful house in the best location. Amble high street has everything you need. Very comfortable stay.
Deborah
A very clean and spacious basically a home from home ,thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Fantastic base for exploring the area. The holiday property has all the necessities for a comfortable stay. Neighbours are friendly, as are the restaurants and pubs in the town. Beaches near by, walking distance and regular bus services if you dont want to use the car.

A beautiful cottage in an excellent position in Amble near to the sea and harbour with some very good restaurants close by. It has been very well modernised and is spacious and comfortable. We recommend the old boathouse and fish shack restaurants and also the chippy at the top of the road. Would not hesitate to return.
We have really enjoyed our stay at Fisherman's Row. The house was immaculate, beautifully decorated and very comfortable, the garden well maintained and very pretty, situated in a small culdesac. The location was ideal for walks around the harbour, fascinating rocky beaches and the old town with its charming stone cottages and tidy terraced streets. There were lots of cafes, pubs and restaurants of different styles and budgets and quite a lot of small independent shops. The host was in touch beforehand to offer help with any directions we might need, restaurant bookings or local information. In fact everyone we met made it the most friendly community we have ever visited. The area around Amble is also beautiful and we were able to visit nearby Warkworth Castle English Heritage the quaint village of Alnmouth with its lovely clean sandy beach and Morpeth for bigger and trendy shops. We would strongly recommend the Masons Arms in Amble soon to be renamed 'Top Oose', I think for its quiz night Weds and Bingo night Thursday super friendly!
Christine
Excellent property. Immaculate and providing everything you would need. And such a great position for the town and marina area. Northumberland, of course, is a brilliant destination!
Lovely property very clean recently modernised and everything you could possibly need . In a great position, round the. corner from the sea and the town centre. We really enjoyed our holiday exploring. Northumberland.

Property perfect, everything we needed and beautifully presented. Very comfortable beds. Very much enjoyed Amble and surrounding areas. Unfortunately weather didnt allow us to take the boat trip, great excuse to come back.
The house was really cosy and set up with everything we needed. The care put into the final touches made us look forward to returning after a walk or day drip out. Close to the harbour, beaches and local shopsbarsrestaurants. Very homely, nicely decorated and modern furnishings for a calm environment which is what we needed. The only small complaint minor was that a few kitchen items needed washing before use. But overall, a great relaxing space in a fantastic location which we enjoyed exploring, especially the ferry to see the seals. Thank you, we could see a lot of care went into this home
Claire

The house was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The position was ideal, with the harbour so close, with a super walk round the pier. There were also many places to eat within a very short distance, catering for all tastes. The neighbours were also very friendly. We will definitely return and we thoroughly recommend Fishermans Row.
Fisherman's Row was as always first class in every way. Everything was spotlessly clean, the beds are very comfortable, the bedding and towels are lovely. The kitchen has all the equipment you could possibly need. The location is perfect, just a minute from the harbour. It was our 3rd visit to the lovely house and I hope to be back next year. A huge thank you to the owners for going the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. And a lovely welcome pack was provided. Can't wait for our next visit . S & T

Lovely house in a superb location. The house was superclean and very well equipped for our stay. It is on a quiet culdesac very close to Amble harbour and a short walk to shops and eateries. There's a small beach with shallow bay nearby and plenty of rockpools over the harbour wall when the tide is out. A great base for exploring Northumberland.
Eleanor
A spacious, comfortable and thoroughly clean holiday home. Such a convenient location for harbour walks, and short drives to so many attractions! My children loved running around the garden. The owner checked we were comfortable and happily offered lots of advice about the local area. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. We'd return in a heartbeat!
Kirsty
We had a fantastic week at Fishermans Row. The house was so cosy and comfortable, and had everything we needed. The property was also spotless and lovely Easter treats left for the whole family. Highlight of our Amble holiday was our boat trip with Kevin on board the Natalie Kristen II. Our kids loved watching the creels being pulled on board and handling the catch! We also loved seeing all the wildlife on coquet Island. We hope to return to Amble and Fishermans Row in the future!
Stuart
We can see why this property was given 5 stars. It was really a home from home experience. Well equipped, comfortable, warm, in a splendid situation, quality. The owners were very helpful if needed. We loved staying here and we are sure to be back again. We give it 5 stars too.
Sheila
Really comfortable and clean, to a high standard lots of additional touches by the owner for a Christmas stay. Well equipped kitchen. Across from the harbour and estuary and good location. Sykes could provide a more detailed route to access property in Amble in view of oneway streets. We arrived in the dark and had difficulty finding it as our sat nav wasn't working. Can thoroughly recommend this house for a stay in Northumberland.
Elaine
We very much enjoyed our stay. The property was clean and comfortable and tastefully furnished. Kitchen was spacious and well equipped. The treats left by the owner were a nice touch and much appreciated. Lots to do in the area and friendly locals, so we will definitely be back.
Rosemary
Great house to stay at with plenty of storage space and every single thing you could possibly need for a holiday stay. Everywhere was so clean, the bed was incredibly comfy, and there were plenty of towels for a weeks stay. The kitchen was huge and everywhere was nicely furnished and decorated. The welcome pack was an excellent addition and all the info that we needed was provided. The location in Amble was perfect with a few minutes walk to the harbour, pubs, restaurants and plenty of shops. The fish and chips from the chip shop 2 minutes walk away were some of the best we've ever had. The location is also great to travel to some amazing local beaches, villages and towns. We loved Druridge Bay and the Drift Cafe and also the amazing bookshop in Alnwick. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a fantastic stay at Fisherman's Row. Ruth the owner was in touch before our stay to answer any queries which was really helpful. The house is just around the corner from the sea which is lovely & from the back bedroom you can see the pier The house is on the edge of a culdesac and is very quiet and a short stroll to the shops and the plentiful eateries that you will find in Amble. The house is exceptionally clean and very well decorated. We felt very comfortable and relaxed straight away. It is very well equipped and there is everything you need if you want to cook your own meals. The welcome pack was a lovely thought thank you. Fisherman's Row is well situated to explore Northumberland both the coastal areas and in land. All in all we had a fantastic stay at Fisherman's Row and would highly recommend it. Thank you
Fishermans View is a fantastic property situated near to the harbour at Amble and an ideal base for exploring Northumberland. It surpassed our expectations spotlessly clean, well equipped and beautifully furnished. A definite homefromhome and well worth a visit. Highly recommended!!
Clean and comfy with everything you need
Maureen
Cant fault this property, spotlessly clean and comfortable, a real home from home. In an excellent area with Sunday market across the road as well as just being round the corner from the pier and shops. Highly recommend and we will be back
A lovely property, very well refurbished, very comfortable, very well equiped. We will certainly use it again when we are in the area. Loved Amble too. Just a word of warning about the on site parking. The kerb is very high and if you have a low car like our Tesla then you will bottom it on the way in and the way out!! Better to park on the road.
Jennifer
Absolutely immaculate property, everything you could need provided for. Just a few steps away from all amenities, eateries etc. Would not hesitate to recommend or return ourselves, which we hope to do !
