Bonnie's Retreat Reviews

Nicola
This is our second year at Bonnies, a group of 5 friends and 2 dogs, we love it here. The house is like a tardis! So roomy and is like a home from home, everything you could think of is provided for you, and we were blessed with amazing weather again.
Great holiday. Accommodation was perfect for us.
Bonnie's Retreat was excellent. Situated a short walk to the harbour in Amble and central to all other amenities. The accomodation was very clean and comfortable. The welcome pack was appreciated as we could have a brew before unloading the cars. Had a problem with a toilet seat, but after speaking to Russell, problem solved, a new seat fitted within an hour. All in all a wonderful home from home, which I am sure we will revisit. My advice, if you're not sure, would be book it, you won't regret it. A fantastic place to stay.
Michelle
Lovely comfortable cottage, everything you need is in the cottage. Great having the welcome pack. Amble is a lovely villiage, had a lovely dinner in both the schooner and Wellwood arms. Loads of places to walk the dogs, would definitely book again.
Lorraine
Lovely cottage, absolutely everything that you think you might have needed whilst on holiday was provided for you, The only thing that we would comment on was that in the kitchen this didnt give you an empty cupboard to place any grocery items in.
Pamela
This holiday home is amazing. Everything you could possibly need and more. We as a family have had a brilliant time. The location is ideal for lovely walks as the harbour is only a few minutes walk away. Lots of places to eat out and very dog friendly. No on site parking but that was no problem as the street is very quiet and could always find somewhere to park. Would certainly recommend Bonnies if you like to explore the surrounding places of interest as its an ideal base.
Great home with all home comforts and a useful information pack with great local recommendations
Robert and Hannah
Absolutely fantastic. We had a lovely stay, thank you! Our young child was delighted with the small wonderful touches such as bath puffins, puffin teddy and book to read whilst there. Many thanks
Samuel
Very homely and well fitted out accomodation conveniently situated for a range if things to do in the area and local shops and restaurants.
We really enjoyed our time in Northumberland. The cottage is a great base for exploring the area. The house was very well equipped with anything you could need and more. The town is great for evening walks around the harbour with plenty of cafes and restaurants. The Taj Mahal, taste of china and harbour fish bar being great for a takeaway. A great time had by all the family and we will definitely be back again. Thank you Russ and Liz.

I would say this is the cleanest most well equipped cottage we have stayed in ... I would say this is the cleanest most well equipped cottage we have stayed in The themed rooms were great We had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend staying there
Home from home, excellent accommodation. Could do with a small hand towel in the downstairs toilet, apart from that we had everything we needed. HughLynne B
A lovely, cosy, homely, well equipped holiday cottage set in a beautiful place. Amble is a wonderful spot to explore and there are loads of shops and pods as well as the coast, beaches and river to discover. There are so many wonderful eating places we could not enjoy them all but the cottage should come with a take care you may gain weight health warning A problem with boiler sorted immediately.

This cottage felt like a real home from home. Comfortable and well equipped with all you might need for an enjoyable stay.and very dog friendly for all those of you with furry friends.
Lovely clean cottage to stay in. Plenty of space & beds comfortable. Arrived to a lovely welcome pack which was much appreciated. Bonnie's retreat is close to everything you need, takeaways, restaurants and convenient stores. Lovely Marina and beach 10 min walk no dogs allowed on beach. However, Warkworth beach 510 min drive was fantastic for a walk with the dog. Took advise from owners of property to park round corner no issues. We would recommend Bonnie's retreat to stay in for a break. Thanks for a lovely stay
Katherine
Comfortable and well equipped. Useful ground floor bedroom for guest with more limited mobility and the ensuite welcome. Clean and spacious deceptive from outside. Very enjoyable stay. Would recommend.
Wonderful property to stay in, hosts catered for every eventuality. The property is immaculate, and roomy. The surrounding area has something for everyone, would highly recommend the area, but in particular highly recommend this property. Thank you for sharing it with us.
A lovely place, well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfy beds! The neighbours had a fine art of blocking any parking outside but we parked round the corner no problems.
The property didnt look much from the outside but we were hugely surprised when we stepped indoors. It was a beautiful property with high quality facilities and decorated tastefully throughout. The outside space was small but maximum use was made of it and we spent a lot of time there. Communication was excellent, before and during our stay. Would highly recommend!
Bonnies is a very comfortable, good value holiday house with the added plus of a sun trap courtyard with comfy patio furniture. excellent location and very good communication with the host thank you for considering our elderly mother plus, great info pack and recommendations to nearby eateries and attractions. I would say that the downstairs bedroom is not really suited to those with limited mobility as the bed was very near to the walls and the loo was in a tiny space but, the upstairs rooms, especially the master, were lovely. Great week was had by the whole family.
Bonnie's retreat is a spacious, comfortable and very well equipped home from home. There has been no expense spared by the owners on providing quality furnishings and equipment. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a stay in Amble.
Fabulous accommodation, everything catered for and lovely little touches in every room make this a great place to stay, ideally situated for walking down Ambles main street onto marina, harbour, beach and variety of eating and drinking places and for access to main road to visit all that beautiful Northumberlands surrounding coast and countryside has to offer.
Communication from the hosts prior to our arrival was brilliant. Bonnies retreat is a lovely cottage with all you need for a break away with your family. It is situated near many beautiful beaches and a bustling harbour town. The welcome pack was a brilliant addition, with teacoffeebiscuits and even milk in the fridge for a cuppa after your long journey. Thanks Russel and Elizabeth, we will definitely be back.
The cottage is absolutely beautiful and the standard of the house is to such a high quality and lacks nothing we come to amble regularly as we have family there and never have we stayed in such a lovely holiday home .
Jacqueline
