Samantha
Really nice property with everything that you would need for a short break plus nice little extras. Plenty of pots and pans and crockery. Well placed for exploring the area and EV charging within walking distance. Good communication from the hosts. Would recommend
The house is immaculate and in such a good location. Would highly recommend.
Our first time visiting the Northumberland coast and this was the perfect base. Great for our two dogs with plenty of walks first thing in the morning and last thing at night. We cooked in most nights and had everything we needed. The little homely touches were much appreciated a cup tea to welcome us and as we arrived late at night we would have had enough for breakfast the next morning as well. A great base for exploring, however Amble is lovely as well. We enjoyed the independent shops, seafood and market in the harbour and exploring the coast with its coves all within walking distance. Many thanks for a really lovely family break.
Claire
A fabulous house with a great host. Was so much nicer than the pictures on website. Really pleased. Nice welcome pack. Very much appreciated. Easy parking and great location. Well done Di
Philip
Fantastic dog friendly cottage, really nicely decorated throughout, excellent layout. Loved the welcome pack, milk in the fridge, all ready to make a brew on our arrival, Thank you soooooo much. It's the little things that count. I definitely would recommend this property to any people looking for a dog friendly place to stay.
Sheryl
Lovely cottage, comfortable, clean and great location for Amble and as a base for Northumberland. Perfect for our needs as family of four with two adult children.
An excellent holiday property. Top class fittings and furniture. Great water pressure in the 2 showers. Well equipped. We will return.
Joanne
We had a great time in Amble. The house had everything you would need with a lot of added extras. The beds were really comfortable. Only 2 very minor critiques. The outside space is really small and enclosed with no sun which was a shame as the weather was glorious and as non pet owners, there was a real smell of dogs in the lounge. Anyone with a dog probably wont notice it so as I said, very minor. The host was really responsive and overall a lovely place to stay.
The property was well maintained, comfortable and in a convenient location for town centre, harbour and all local attractions. Parking wasnt an issue while we were there but it is a very busy street and parking outside the property isnt guaranteed. We enjoyed our stay immensely and Amble itself is a very friendly place.
Lovely welcome pack for humans and dog. Great location, easy walking distance of Amble Harbour with its individual shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. Lovely clean and well equipped property. Would definitely recommend.
55 Wellwood Street is an absolute gem of a place. Its in a quiet location but within a few minutes walk of all that Amble has to offer. Its clean and very well equipped. The beds are so comfortable. The welcome pack is great for both humans and dogs. Amble is a good location for exploring the area. The beaches in Northumbria are fab. Definitely recommend staying at Wellwood Street and wouldnt hesitate to go back.
Great place to stay and everything was as described. Didnt use all the rooms but all very nice and plenty of room. We needed a base and this was perfect as we went out each day visiting the local sights and beaches. Lots of decent dog friendly restaurants round and about at reasonable prices. Nice welcome pack which we wasnt expecting. Overall a nice place to see and a great area to visit.
This is the best cottage we have stayed in. We couldnt have asked for anymore. The bed were very comfortable and the cleanliness of the cottage was 100. So much so we have booked ahead for May & September 2026.
Stephen
Great position in Amble centre and surprisingly quiet. The facilities were amazing and this is the first property we have stayed in to have an air fryer Thank you. Just about everything we needed was there. Parking was okay but quite a busy street so we just left the car in situ and used the bus.Our friends' dog was well catered for and she loved it. It was nice of the owner to be in contact too which is something we have not had before. We felt that any issues would have been addressed straightaway. Hopefully be back again.
Deborah
Upon arrival cottage was fab, clean and truly comfortable hence our week was thoroughly enjoyed by all
Great cottage in good location. Well equipped with everything you need and more little extras. Would definitely recommend
Angela
Beautiful property, the pictures dont do it justice! Its in the perfect location just off the town, harbour and coastal walks. The owners were amazing, super helpful and friendly as was Jasper! Would recommend for anyone, lots of room beautifully decorated and incredibly well maintained! We hope to be back in the spring!

e have stayed at many properties both in Amble and elsewhere. This is best by far. We will definitely be booking again. The property is beautifully presented and has every need catered for. The cleanliness was second to none. We left our dogs lead at the property, the property owner made sure it was returned to us at no cost to us. Exceptional service. The little things make a big difference.
Amble is the friendliest place to holiday. It was so nice to have so many dog friendly cafes and shops with doggie treats offered to our pooch. The cottage is in a lovely quiet residential street. It is very comfortable and very clean. There were plenty of clean towels for our use which we really appreciated. The cottage was very warm and welcoming after a brisk seaside walk. All in all a fabulous stay and we recommend both Amble and 55 wellwood street cottage for a holiday.
The cottage was lovely will definitely book again.
Lovely house, very comfortable and homely. Location brilliant, only a few minutes walk to the harbour. Very dog friendly.
Great situation, good for visiting Northumberland , very handy for shops and also restaurants. Prporty was very clean and comfortable., parking was immediately outside and always available. A few minutes walk to shops and close to larger supermarket. Ideal location.
Michael
Great cottage
We were very impressed with the property! It was newly decorated to a high standard, there were fluffy white towels and comfy beds. One bedroom with ensuite bathroom and tv. Big bathroom and downstairs cloakroom. Fully equipped kitchen! Although it is located in a street and is mid terrace it was quiet and parking was easy. The harbour was approximately 10 minutes walk and there were lots of shops, pubs and restaurants. We recommend Rossinis Italian restaurant! We went on a boat trip from the harbour and saw puffins that leave in July apparently! There is so much to see and do in Northumberland, it is beautiful and this was a good base to be able to reach lots of places. For people who like being in a small town! And when we arrived there was a lovely hamper!!
Gillian
Beautifully appointed property, the owner has done everything to ensure the house is comfortable and welcoming in its decor and furnishings as well as a lovely welcome basket even loads of treats for the dog. The property has a great holiday vibe despite being in a residential street, but it very easy walking to all the amenties of Amble which might not be as pretty as other nearby towns but has loads of great eateries and plenty of heart with friendly locals
Kenneth
The property is exactly as described. A bit of a shock to start with if you're not used to these types of houses ie driving in to a resdential area, but once you're in its fine. No neighbour street noise and once you get your bearings, you are minutes away from shops, pubs, takeaways, beaches, harbour area etc. Nice House with a good holiday feel about it.
